I can tell you that this type of work is not for everyone, but nothing ventured-nothing gained. There are numerous tasks within a department, besides lugging hose or putting wet stuff on the fire, that are critical and just as important for the department to function as such. Noble are the ones willing to do whatever to help out community and neighbor, they come away with an inner sense of accomplishment that is hard to find nowadays. We operate as a team and building camaraderie is also important. The dedicated men and women of the department strive to provide the finest service possible and our firefighters are among the best trained in the Lake Tawakoni area.
